*Note – This item has been discontinued by Mercury and is now being sold as a kit by Mercury with the engine harness.  The part number for the regulator kit with the engine harness is # 804278A12 .  The new harness incorporates a tachometer (tach) signal lead for connection to your existing tach where as the old regulator had an extra wire in which the tach signal wire was connected. While this regulator will work on models with the old engine harness, there is no tach hookup therefore you will not have a working tach unless you have the newer style engine harness already installed on the outboard. If you don’t have a tach or you would rather do without a working tach, order this regulator!  The item for sale on this page is only the regulator / rectifier and does not include the harness.  Contact us if you have questions.
